The Hand |

The Hand- This character resides in, you guessed it, D’s
hand. The left on to be exact. I’m not exactly sure of the origins of
this character, who is probably explained in the novels the movies are based
on (none of which I have read btw.) Neither am I sure what its official name
is. I’ve just heard it referred to as the hand. It’s a somewhat parasitic, separate entity. It
has its own voice and personality, and can usually be found making sarcastic
commentary or just generally being a pain in the ass. He’s relatively
good at making D feel like crap. He also, sometimes, is the holder of valuable
information, which doesn’t really balance out his sarcasm. It’s not really apparent how D feels about this
guy, but seems to get rather sick of him during certain times of the movies,
choosing to crush him against things to shut him up. Apparently the hand can live on it’s own as
well. In one scene in the original movie it was cut from D’s body,
proceeding to travel back to where it was attached and rejoining itself on
it’s own (although I’m sure D’s healing capabilities had a
lot to do with it.) |
